Executive Order 25-06 Accessibility Resources

Executive Order 25-06 treats plain language and accessibility as essential to public trust and good governance, not optional add-ons.

It requires agencies to:

• Communicate clearly

• Design services around real people

• Make systems usable for everyone

• Remove barriers that make services confusing or hard to access

The broader goal: make Washington state government simpler, clearer, more accessible, and easier to navigate for all residents, especially historically underserved communities.
